This is something that I have been dying to try it ever since Nayna posted it on her blog. Let me tell you why. Until a few months back , Lil Angel loved bananas. I literally had to hide the fruit basket from her. Then things changed and now she doesn’t eat it unless compelled and I hate doing that.Though she has other fruits, I felt she must include bananas too in her diet. This dessert has bananas and I felt it was a great way to make her eat them again!

She saw me making it and her face was sullen but once she tasted it, her face brightened up and asked for the second serving as well! Success by all means!!!

I used:
Adapted from – Simply.food

Over ripe bananas – 2
Unsweetened cocoa powder- 1 tablespoon
Honey- to taste
Garnish of your choice

  1. Cut the banana into thin slices and freeze.
  2. Take this along with the cocoa powder and honey and blend on low speed for a minute and on high speed for a minute. The texture will be something in between granita and a thick milkshake. Don’t be tempted to add water as it will alter the consistency and texture.
  3. Spoon out into serving bowls and garnish with cherries and berries / any garnish of your choice
  4. Serve immediately

This post is for Week 3, Blogging Marathon # 43, themed- healthy desserts for kids, which also happens to be Sapana’s Kid delight theme for this month.
