For this month’s edition of Taste and Create, I was paired with Kat of Study Food.I like the way she has spoken about herself and her blog here.

I found quite a few recipes that I bookmarked to try but as luck would have it, I was late in preparing whatever I bookmarked.  This was the easiest recipe that I put together a couple of minutes ago, thanks to my Lil Angel who was pestering me to make french fries for her. I remembered this recipe and made it for her.She enjoyed it a lot .I got the best ever compliment for these fries…Loads of kisses from my Lil
Angel ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a few while enjoying Amy Tan’s book – The Hundred secret senses. Have you read this? If not, here is the gist…

Olivia Yee meets her Chinese Half-sister for the first time when she is 5 years old.Kwan, her half-sister,lives with them and turns Olivia’s life upside down. For the next 30 years,Olivia endures visits from kwan and her ‘ghost friends’.Kwan claims to have ‘Yin eyes’ ,those that see dead people who offer advice on everything from restaurants to Olivia’s failed marriage. In the end there is revelations of a tragic family secrets that finally open Olivia’s mind to the startling truths hidden in Kwan’s unorthodox vision of the world…

Absolutely an interesting read.Try to read it if you catch it some place….

Now coming to the fries, here is what you need for these yummy fries…

Scrub a potato and cut it into strips like you need for french fries.
Keep the potatoes under water till ready to use.
In a bowl mix a little cornflour, garlic powder and salt
Drain the potato and toss in a teaspoon of oil.
Next toss in the corn flour mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven @ 180 degrees C for 15 minutes. [Oven timings may vary]
Carefully toss them around and bake again for another 10-15 minutes or till you get the crunch…..
